Vancouver health advocates set up online supervised drug use

Social distancing policies in response to COIV-19 have posed challenges for safer injecting facilities, with most facilities being unable to ensure customers stay 2 metres away from each other. To address some of these issues, a Vancouver harm reduction organisation has offered to provide ‘digital spotters’ to stay online whilst a person injects opioids. The digital spotter is then able to alert medical authorities in the event of an overdose.
