US state of Oklahoma in $8.75m opioid settlement

The US state of Oklahoma has agreed a settlement of $8.75m with two pharmaceutical companies, Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Par Pharmaceutical, Inc.  The agreement will end legal action taken by the state alleging that the companies had deceptively marketed opioid pain medication, understated the risk of addiction and therefore violated state laws.
