US racial disparities in cannabis arrests continue

The American Civil Liberties Union has reported that racial disparities for cannabis arrests have not improved in the US since 2010. In states where cannabis has been legalised, arrests have reduced but the disparities have not been eliminated. In the US, black people remain 3.64 times more likely to be arrested for cannabis possession than white people, despite having similar rates of cannabis use.
