Texas and Indiana police forces stop carrying naloxone during COVID-19 restrictions

In late March and early April, several police forces in Indiana and Texas stopped carrying naloxone (the drug used to treat opioid overdose), with several forces refusing to accept naloxone shipments. The change was made in response to COVID-19 social distancing measures, with police in some areas instructed to stay 6 feet away from anyone they suspect to be overdosing and to wait for medical professionals to arrive.
