Sri Lanka to set minimum age for tobacco to 24 years old

Sri Lanka’s National Authority on Tobacco and Alcohol (NATA) has announced that the minimum age of sale for tobacco products will increase from 21 to 24 years old. Tobacco advertising, promotion and sponsorship will also be prohibited. The measures will come into effect later in 2022.
