South Korea methamphetamine seizures fall

Customs officers in South Korea seized 116.7kg of methamphetamine in 2019. This is the second highest amount on record, second only to the 222.9kg seized in 2018. There were, however, more cases involving over 1kg of methamphetamine in 2019 than in 2018, indicating that more large-scale operations have been disrupted. Most drug seizures had originated in Malaysia with smaller numbers originating in the US, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia.
