South Africa lifts COVID-19 alcohol and tobacco sales bans

South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa has announced that the bans on alcohol and tobacco sales, which were introduced on 27 March 2020 to prevent the spread of COVID-19, are to be lifted. Sales of alcohol for on-site consumption will now be banned after 10pm and alcohol sales for home consumption will be banned on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
