Scottish government urged to increase minimum unit price of alcohol

Charities and health care professionals across Scotland have urged the Scottish government to increase the minimum unit price of alcohol from 50p to 65p. The request is based on concerns that the positive impact of minimum unit pricing measures has been diminished by inflation and the COVID-19 pandemic. The government has responded saying that alcohol prices will be kept under review.
