Report on tobacco industry influence

A report published by a tobacco industry ‘watchdog’ STOP (Stopping Tobacco Organizations and Products) has rated countries according to the influence that the tobacco industry has on their policy systems. The report names Kenya, Uganda and the UK as having the least tobacco industry influence and Bangladesh, Egypt, Japan and Jordan as having the most tobacco industry influence on public health policy.
