Pharmaceutical CEO sentenced to prison

John Kapoor, the founder of Insys Therapeutics Inc., has been sentenced to 66 months in prison for bribery and fraud. Kapoor was found guilty of paying healthcare professionals identified by Insys as “high prescribers” to prescribe Subsys (a fentanyl-based medication) for more people and in higher doses.
