Paramedics to supply naloxone kits in Glasgow, Scotland

Scotland’s Drug Deaths Taskforce is set to launch a 3-month trial in Glasgow whereby paramedics will supply naloxone kits to people who experience a non-fatal opioid overdose and who refuse to attend hospital. Take-home naloxone will also be given to any family or friends present when paramedics arrive. The aim of the trial is to reduce the risk of drug-related death following a non-fatal overdose.
