Opioid manufacturer Insys pays $225m to settle US lawsuit

Insys Therapeutics has agreed to settle criminal and civil investigations bought by the US federal government that relate to opioid medication marketing. The settlement of $225m is part of an agreement in which Insys has admitted that it bribed doctors to prescribe Subsys, a fentanyl-based pain killer.
