New York bans flavoured vaping products

On 18 May 2020, New York became the fourth US state to ban all flavoured vaping products except for tobacco flavours. The legislation also bans pharmacies from selling tobacco and vaping products, with a $100 fine for pharmacies found to be in breach of the regulations. The ban is intended to deter young people from vaping after the state health department reported an almost three-fold rise in the number of high school students using vaping products between 2014 and 2018.
