Nepal joins the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs

Nepal has, for the first time, been elected by the United Nations to the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND), which works within the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). The election is intended to boost the country’s ability to address drug trafficking and related crimes through international collaboration. Nepal will join 33 nations that currently sit on the CND.
