More young cocaine users in Britain than in other EU countries

The European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA) has reported that, in 2018, Britain had the highest proportion of young people using cocaine in Europe. This figure represents Britain’s highest level of youth cocaine use to date, with 5.3% of young people aged between 15 and 34 having used the drug in 2018. Following the UK, Denmark and the Netherlands recorded the second highest rates of cocaine use, with 3.9% of young people using cocaine during the same 12-month reporting period.
