Montenegro bans smoking indoors

From 14 August 2019 smoking in enclosed workplaces and public places was banned in Montenegro. Premises owners were given one month to adapt to the new law before inspections started. Offenders could face fines of between 500 and 20,000 euros. Casinos are exempt from the new law and businesses are permitted to set up smoking rooms where their use is restricted solely to smoking.
