Medicinal cannabis legalised in Ghana

On 20 March 2020 Ghana decriminalised cannabis for health and industrial purposes. The legislation gives Ghana’s Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) extra powers to oversee industrial use of cannabis products and to eliminate drug trafficking. The new law will allow the government to issue licences for cultivating cannabis products that contain no more than 0.3% tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
