Lithuania bans imitation alcohol

The Lithuanian government has approved several amendments to the Law on Alcohol Control that will ban the sales of goods imitating alcoholic products to children. The changes would apply to food, drinks and toys. The Lithuanian Minister of Health, Aurelijus Veryga, highlighted sales of ‘children’s champagne’ which sells around half a million units per year and would be banned under the new law which is due to be implemented in November 2019.
