Ireland bans alcohol adverts at sports events

Ireland has introduced new regulations that ban alcohol products from being advertised at sporting events where competitors are children of if attendance is aimed at children. Under the Public Health (Alcohol) Act, sports team sponsorships that promote alcohol products will also be banned. The measures are intended to protect children from exposure to the alcohol market.
