Ireland announces €2 million fund for drug and alcohol treatment

Ireland’s Minister for Public Health, Wellbeing and the National Drugs Strategy has announced the introduction of a Community Services Enhancement Fund. This is a €2 million fund that will be used to enhance community-based drug and alcohol treatment services. Twenty-five percent of the funding will be used to increase treatment provision for ethnic minorities, the LGBTI+ community and women.
