Hong Kong addiction register decreases by 14%

Data from Hong Kong’s Action Committee Against Narcotics (ACAN) has revealed that the number of registered ‘drug abusers’ has decreased by 14% in the first 6 months of 2019. The most common drug used by people on the register was heroin (1,838 people) followed by methamphetamine (827 people). The number of people registered as cannabis users increased by 35% to 316.
