Greenland expands COVID-19 alcohol ban

Greenland has expanded an existing alcohol ban to include three additional municipalities. The ban imposes restrictions on alcohol sales to prevent spread of COVID-19 and to reduce levels of alcohol consumption. The government has argued that excessive alcohol consumption at house parties is imposing a significant burden on the health service and police, due to accidents, violence and intoxication.
