Ghana protocol to eliminate illicit tobacco trade

A new protocol has been ratified in Ghana to reduce trade in illicit tobacco. The Protocol for the Elimination of Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products is aligned with the terms of the World Health Organisations Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO FCTC). The protocol includes measures to increase regulation of tobacco supply, transport, licencing and record keeping. It also supports initiatives to improve international reporting and collaboration relating to illicit tobacco trade.
