 France removes car breathalyser laws

The French government has repealed a law that required all drivers to carry breathalyser kits. The law was introduced in March 2013 along with an EUR11 fine for violations. The fine was later scrapped, but the law remained. It has now been removed entirely because the government did not consider it to be an effective way to address drink-driving.
