England increases funds for supporting homeless people who use drugs

The UK Minister for Rough Sleeping and Housing has announced an extra £23 million of funding to improve addiction treatment for people who are homeless and who are rough sleepers. The investment will be implemented in 43 areas of England and will be followed up by a further £52 million across 2021 and 2022. The funds will be used to improve access to detox, rehabilitation and mental health services and to support peer mentoring initiatives.
