Egypt suspends 300 rail workers over positive drug tests

Following a programme of mandatory drug testing for government workers, 300 employees of Egyptian Railways have been suspended for returning positive drug tests. Those suspended will lose one month’s pay and be suspended from work for six months before being re-tested. Employees failing three tests will be permanently excluded from rail work.
