Drink driving laws reduce alcohol sales in Vietnam

New laws about drink-driving in Vietnam were introduced on 1 January 2020. People found driving under the influence now face fines of up to 40 million dong (US$1,720). Since the new law was introduced police have issued over 6,000 fines. Alcohol producers claim that beer sales have gone down by 25% in that time.
