Australia revises vaping advertising guidelines

The Therapeutic Goods Administration in Australia has updated an ‘advertising permission’ for pharmacies that dispense nicotine containing vaping products. The new guidelines state that pharmacies can tell customers that nicotine containing vaping products are available in store, but that such communication cannot act as a ‘push’ for young people. Any ‘adverts’ must be text only and must state that the evidence on vaping for smoking cessation is mixed.
